The Windows Mobile Unified Sensor API allows developers to easily access the hardware sensors that are available on various phones.

Developers often get confused by what the vector being returned by the GSensor API means. The vector is the direction of force relative to the orientation of the device. These two images should clarify things a bit:

The positive X axis is from the center of the screen to the right.
The positive Y axis is from the center of the screen to the top.
The positive Z axis is from the front of the screen towards the viewer.
