X,Y Co-odinates - WM Unified Sensor API

The GVector diagram indicates that Y(up) is positive when the device is in a vertical position and negative when in the horizontal position . I wonder at what angle it flips because this will cause a discontinuity in the data.

There are many enterprise stylus applications where the sign of Y is important.  I believe the original PocketPC (stylus operation) also had Y(up) as negative and this was obviously before the GVector. Does the sign of Y(up) change for the StylusSensor in the WMUS API when the device is vertical and if so at what angle does it flip?
